臺灣自三、四十年來由農業社會跨進工業社會，再進入現代科技及民主的進步社會，週遭的環境由簡樸到複雜。從政治、經濟、以及媒體傳播的自由，使得人們生活的腳步越來越緊湊。生活的壓力有時感到人生如苦海，轉來繞去擺脫不了煩惱，探討人生必需努力超越昇華，才能達到一個美麗的境界。堅信凡事必有如太極的轉圜,總會有失有得的時候,本画主旨呼籲人們需要以生命的深情順應天理，走出了悒鬱、走出陰霾，以堅忍不屈的意志與環境奮鬥，使精神統一，找回真正的自己。本画是表”靜而後能得”的禪意，最後終能達到[否極泰來]的美麗人生。

         (  Gaining Back a Life of Serenity  )

     During the past thirty years, Taiwan went through several phases: from an agricultural society, to an industrial society, and further to a high-tech society. Meanwhile, the environment in Taiwan deteriorated intensely. Due to the liberation of politics, economy and mass media, the population’s pace of life has been getting faster. Pressure sometimes makes people feel miserable and entangled with countless inescapable worries. To explore life, efforts are needed to rise above obstacles and reach a higher mental state. This work aims at appealing to people to put away all obsessions in their lives, to walk out of depression and haze, as well as to reunite with their inner selves by fighting against the damaging elements in their surroundings with an unbeatable will. The work conveys the thought of “gaining back a life of serenity.”
