草山國際藝術村交通：

• 260、紅5至公車總站下車，轉乘小9或往花鐘方向步行約十五分鐘即可到達。

 自行開車：
1、國道一號：由濱江交流道下，左轉大直橋過自強隧道於故宮路與至善路口左轉後右轉續行仰德大道，至湖山路一段即可到達草山行館。
2、國道一號：由內湖交流道下，左轉快速道路至內湖路一段，過自強隧道於故宮路與至善路口左轉後右轉續行仰德大道至湖山路一段即可到達草山行館。

1、捷運：搭乘捷運淡水線至北投站，轉乘小9至花鐘站即可到達草山行館。

黃莉莉, 北一女中, 台大社會學系畢業(1981), 在外商電子業服務20多年 , 由西門子公司離職後, 2005 年偶然的機會, 進入社區大學, 學習亂針刺繡, 對這項傳統工藝有一些衝突性的迷思, 在現代講求快速的時代, 加上外商工作效率化的經驗, 時間與作品的相對性，刺繡在我國文化底蘊的意涵上等等, 深深吸引黃莉莉投入細究這項藝術.

“絲”是中國人發明的, “絲路” 是中國文化西傳的路逕, 刺繡文化和絲文化的發展息息相關, 也是我國的母體藝術, 幾千年來, 和國人的生活密不可分, 物質的食衣住行, 心靈的喜怒哀樂, 都有刺繡文化的參與…..

2006 年黃莉莉的作品,  “101 台灣紅” 入選 APEC 地方文化產業博覽會, 讓台灣的刺繡藝術能向世界發聲, 也給 Lily 很大的鼓舞, 發現刺繡可以是個很有意義的媒介, 作為表達內心思維, 盡情發揮創作的工具~~ 

“她”~~可以很 “現代” .

刺繡是精微的 ”立體” 作品, 散發幽微的光芒, 不同角度觀賞, 會呈現不同面相.  產生類似相對論的: 觀察者對時空的描述會隨著運動狀態而改變…..

2007 年黃莉莉入選駐村藝術家, 一心想要分享, 推廣, 傳承, 雖然因草山行館焚燬而計劃受挫 , 卻讓黃莉莉背起繡架走入人群, 成了行動繡坊,  走過228公園,  自由廣場, 淡水河畔, …創意市集, 醫院 , 區公所, 福德宮前, 社區大學, 百貨公司…. 一邊刺繡 , 一邊探索刺繡文化在國人婦女內心的思維, 現代男女老幼的觀感, 體會刺繡引起的, 社會文化的內在騷動.

2008 年, 黃莉莉的作品 ”刀馬旦”, “鎮~護~故鄉情” 入選國立傳統工藝中心編織大展, 作品 “ 魯凱少女~百合待放” 入選屏東美展.

7~9月黃莉莉進駐草山國際藝術村, 扮演台北市駐市藝術家的角色, 期待工作室 “魔莉繡坊” , 是行動繡坊的延伸, 分享, 創作, 推廣…

“生活的目的在增進人類全體的生活”, 黃莉莉希望刺繡的美, 不論在工具上: 繡花針, 繡花線等等, 在過程中, 穿針引線, 或虛或實 在作品的展現上,都可以帶給大家心靈的怡然, 藝術的饗宴.  工作室將展出20件刺繡作品.  歡迎蒞臨指教.

Lily Huang, Graduated from Taipei First Girl’s High Scholl, and afterwards National Taiwan University , Majored in Sociology (1981).  Lily had been working for Foreign Company in Electronic industry for more then 20 years.   After leaving Siemens few years ago, Lily joined Mixed needle embroidery class at Community college in 2005 accidentally.  She was overwhelmed by the conflicts of modern efficiency requirement and the traditional handy folk art which contains a lot of inner culture elements of Chinese people.

“Silk” was invented by Chinese, “ Silk Road ” is the route where Chinese culture spreading to western world.   The culture of Silk Embroidery has very close relationship to Chinese daily life.  It is our motherhood culture.   Thousands of years,  in every ways of our life,  physical and psychal , there were roles of embroidery.

In 2006, Lily’s work “ 101 Taiwan Red~ Show the image of Taiwan ” was awarded ALCIVE (APEC Local Cultural Industry Virtual Exposition).  As “Show” is pronounced same sound in Chinese “Embroidery”.  It presents Taiwan ’s embroidery culture to the world.  This was a great encouraging to Lily’s creation anxiety.  Finding that embroidery could be a very meaningful tool and media to express her inner emotion and creative invention.

“She” ~~ can be very “Modern”.

Embroidery is detail , refinement, three dimension art work.  It shines slightly, and shows different appearance when you observing it from different direction.  Just like what Relativity stands , the description of observers differ from time and light changes….

In 2007, Lily was awarded the residential Artist of Grass Mountain Artist Village, aiming to share, propagandize this art.  Though it was failed due to the fire,  Lily carried up her embroidery painting frames and walked into people…  She has visited and stayed at many public areas, including Park 228, Liberty Square, River side of Tan Sui , Campo creative design markets, Hospital,  District office, Temple, Community college, Dept. store… while doing embroidery work,  at the same time exploring people’s inner emotion to this long lost craft.  There, she experienced the inside exciting from all kinds of viewers, either men or women, aged or young ones….

In 2008, Lily’s two works  “The Opera Lady Warrior” and  “Allocate Country Love-The Stone Lion” was selected to the Exhibition of Weaving Craft in Taiwan- National Center of Traditional Arts. 

The other Work “ Lu-Kai Girl ~ Blossom Lily” was awarded to the Pingtung Fine Arts Exhibition.

The coming July to September, Lily is going to be the Artist in residence in Grass Mountain Artist Village , Acting the role of Taipei Artist in residence.  She hopes that her studio “ Magic Lily Embroidery House” is the extension of her moving workhouse,  joy sharing , artwork creating, craft expansion …

“The goal of living is to improve life of whole humanbeings”  Lily hope that the beauty of embroidery art,  Either in tools, such as needles, colorful silk thread…or in the processing:  fly-flowing the silk thread, as a whole,  can brings people peaceful feeling and admiring the elegance.  There will exhibite 20 pieces of Lily's Embroidery artworks.
