Yun-Ming, Chang 

 Chang grows up in a fishing village surrounded

by nature and ocean. His Chinese ink artworks

fully portrays the rural life with unusual strong

strokes and rich colors in his earlier art creating

stages. Thus, he is recognized as the artist

originating the new style for Chinese ink

artworks. In 1990s, Chang determined to leave

his home country and started the life in America

to put himself into the western fine art world for

more creative art mergence. Since then, he

changed his creating materials from ink into oil

paintings. With simple yet strong strokes and

mixture of wild and placid rhythm of the drawing,

Chang honestly expressed his personal

perception and ideas about life. By merging

the elements of the east that full of veiled

philosophy of Lao-Zi and Zhuang-Zi, with the

western that stressing the rational, liberated,

and indulgent individualism, Chang conceals

his passion for art into each of all his worthy

of exclamation works.

1949年出生於臺灣的藝術家張韻明，畢業於美國 Lindenwood大學藝術碩士。畫家張韻明從鄉下到城市，由台北至世界，半生沉潛於東方藝術乃至後來對西方現代主義的專研，自認為其生命有著太多的因緣與變化，而繪畫之於畫家已經不是表象的浮誇技巧，而是用心篩瀝的生活經歷與想法。因此每件作品的創作都蘊含著特殊意義與不為人知的密碼，有待觀賞一一欣賞與解讀。
